<p>Champagne Taittinger is a world-renowned champagne house, which is family-owned since 1734. This champagne house includes 260 hectares of vineyards. The house is located in Saint-Nicaise in Rems, in the chalk cellar the champagnes ripen 18 meters below ground. This dates back to Roman times.<br><br>This vintage champagne is made exclusively from musts of the first pressing. Longer than prescribed, the Taittinger matures 5 years in the cellars.<br><br>Awards:<br>- 92 points in 2014 from Wine Spectator<br>- 92 points in 2014 from Wine Enthusiast</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>Bright straw yellow with golden accents and lively bubbles in the glass. On the nose floral, fruity, mineral, with delicate fermentation aromas and subtle nuances of ripe lemons and tangerines. On the palate fruity, fresh, full-bodied, balanced as well as notes of sugared grapefruit. Lively and long lasting finish.<br><br>Grape varieties: 50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay.<br>Residual sugar: 10.5 g/l.<br>Closure: Natural cork.<br>Storage potential: At least 3 years.<br><br>The champagne is an excellent aperitif with fish dishes, seafood and white meat.</p>
