<p>The Pian delle Vigne winery was founded in 1995 and has been owned by the Antinori family since the beginning. The Antinori family owns other very famous wineries in Italy such as Tignanello, Guado al Tasso or even Péppoli. The wines are very well known and popular not only in Italy, but worldwide.<br><br>Awards:<br>- 95/100 points Falstaff<br>- 93/100 points James Suckling</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>Intense garnet red in the glass. On the nose of red fruits, tobacco, spices, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves and cadamom. On the palate soft, superbly fresh and elegant. The particularly elegant taste is accompanied by silky tannins. Long lasting on the finish.<br><br>Grape variety: Sangiovese.<br>Soil: clay, limestone.<br>Aging: oak barriques, 2 years in large wooden barrels.<br>Closure: Natural cork.<br><br>An ideal companion to grilled as well as roasted veal dishes.</p>
