<p>The port wine house Delaforce was founded in 1868 by George Henry Delaforce. Soon the name Delaforce was known worldwide.<br>Since 01 January 2008 the famous port wine house Real Companhia Velha has been part of Delaforce. The company celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2006 and is therefore not only the oldest port wine house, but also the oldest company in Portugal!<br><br>The grapes for the production come from the upper Douro valley. The valley is located in the northeast of Portugal and is known for its narrow terraces.</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>Pale colour in the glass. Nose and palate of traditional soft port wine with aromas of ripe fruit. Long lasting finish.<br><br>Grape varieties: Malvasia Fina, Rabigato.<br><br>Enjoy the white port wine as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to foie gras, desserts and moderate cheese.<br><br>Preferably well chilled!</p>
