<p>The Pernod Absinthe is a deep green absinthe from France, which has a harmonious, subtly bitter taste despite its strong alcohol content of 68%.<br>An absinthe that is sure to make lovers smile.<br><br>The original recipe can be traced back to Dr. Pierre Ordinaire, who developed it in 1792.<br>Henri Louis-Pernod, however, tweaked it for its re-release as an epicurean spirit to further accommodate modern palates.<br>Pernod Absinthe impresses with the successful bitterness, which he owes to the select wormwood plants.<br><br>Absinthe was banned in just about every country in the 1920s because of the toxic neurotoxin thujone formed in excessive amounts of wormwood herb.
