<p>Grande Absente is a very good Absinthe with subtle aromas from the Distilleries &amp; Domaines de Provence. It is the brother of the "little" Absente and a bit more bitter than this one.&nbsp;</p><p>Distilleries &amp; Domaines de Provence has been producing liqueurs and aperitifs in the municipality of Forcalquier since 1898.&nbsp;</p><p>The first distillers, especially pharmacists, found their way to the region on the Montagne de Lure because of the abundant herb reserves.</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>Contains anise, lemon balm, star anise, mint, other herbal essences and mugwort.</p><p>Grande Absente is best drunk with ice-cold water, supplemented with 1-2 ice cubes and can be sweetened with sugar to hide the bitter note.</p>
