Description
McCormick is located in Weston, Missouri and produces a wide range of spirits.
Their whiskey distillery was in Illinois and was called Pekin.
There the Platte Valley was originally distilled.
This was also noted on the clay jugs.
Today it is bought as corn whiskey from Heaven Hill.
Corn whiskey is corn whiskey with at least 80% corn in the mash.
The whiskey may be distilled to a maximum of 80% and must be stored for at least two years in fresh or used, uncharred oak barrels.

Corn whiskies are simple, sweet, oily.
And very interesting. Very smooth and with a gentle sweetness characteristic only of corn.
