<p>In&nbsp;1263, the head of&nbsp;the Mackenzie clan saved King Alexander III from an&nbsp;attacking stag.<br>In&nbsp;recognition of&nbsp;this, the king granted the Mackenzie clan the right to&nbsp;bear the emblem of&nbsp;the twelve-pointed royal stag in&nbsp;its coat of&nbsp;arms.<br>When the Dalmore distillery was taken over by&nbsp;the clan’s descendants in&nbsp;1867, this royal stag became the symbol of&nbsp;Dalmore whisky, which proudly adorns every bottle today.<br>The precious single malts are refined in&nbsp;exceptional casks, which were handpicked by&nbsp;Master Distiller Richard Paterson.</p><p>The Dalmore distillery was founded in&nbsp;1839 and is&nbsp;located on&nbsp;the Cromarty Firth coast in&nbsp;the northern Highlands.<br>Dalmore uses water from the River Alness, which flows through the small town of&nbsp;the same name.</p><p>The 12-year-old Dalmore was matured in&nbsp;bourbon and oloroso sherry casks.<br>A&nbsp;very complex single malt with wonderfully combined flavors and excellent value for money.</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Amber.<br><strong>Nose:</strong> Strong, fruity, aromatic, spicy, citrus, chocolate.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Lush, malty, sweet, spices, oranges, dark chocolate, vanilla beans.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting.</p>
