<p>The whisky distillery Slyrs was opened in&nbsp;1999 and is&nbsp;one of&nbsp;the biggest single malt whisky producers in&nbsp;Germany.<br>The name of&nbsp;the distillery Slyrs is&nbsp;derived from the Schliersee and a&nbsp;monastery in&nbsp;Bavaria.<br>The required barley comes from the north of&nbsp;Bavaria.</p><p>In&nbsp;2014 a&nbsp;warehouse was built in&nbsp;the Bavarian mountains&nbsp;— here the whisky is&nbsp;allowed to&nbsp;mature for 3 to&nbsp;6 years in&nbsp;a&nbsp;Bavarian mountain climate.<br>The special thing about this single malt is&nbsp;its finish in&nbsp;the rum cask.</p><p><strong>Awards:</strong><br>Gold medal in&nbsp;2019 at&nbsp;the International Wine &amp; Spirits Competition in&nbsp;Cranleigh (London)</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Amber.<br><strong>Nose:</strong> beeswax, caramel, chamomile, toast, wood.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Spices, vanilla, orange, honey, toasted notes.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting, wood.</p>
