Description
<p>The whisky distillery Slyrs was opened in 1999 and is one of the biggest single malt whisky producers in Germany.<br>The name of the distillery Slyrs is derived from the Schliersee and a monastery in Bavaria.<br>The required barley comes from the north of Bavaria.</p><p>In 2014 a warehouse was built in the Bavarian mountains — here the whisky is allowed to mature for 3 to 6 years in a Bavarian mountain climate.<br>The special thing about this single malt is its finish in the rum cask.</p><p><strong>Awards:</strong><br>Gold medal in 2019 at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in Cranleigh (London)</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Amber.<br><strong>Nose:</strong> beeswax, caramel, chamomile, toast, wood.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Spices, vanilla, orange, honey, toasted notes.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting, wood.</p>
