Description
<p>The most famous port wine is the Royal Oporto, which is produced by the company Real Companhia Velha. Real Companhia Velha is not only a worldwide renowned port wine house but also the oldest company in Portugal.<br><br>The grapes for the production are grown on slate and granite slopes in the valley of the famous Rio Douro (Duoro Valley). </p><p>After the grapes are harvested by hand and then pressed, they mature between 10, 20 and 40 years in oak barrels.</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>A noble port wine with pleasant nuances of roses and almonds. Sweet and persistent in the finish.</p>
