Description
Although there is no distillery near the ruins of Finlaggan Castle, this is the home of the Lord of the Isles.
These give their name to the fine malt whiskies produced by The Vintage Malt Whisky.
Finlaggan Red Wine Cask Matured Islay Single Malt Whisky is aged in red wine casks throughout its ageing period.
The red wine casks come from the Basque Country and wonderfully express the taste of the red berry fruits.
This whisky is a special edition and is on the market with 7,000 bottles worldwide.
Colour: dark amber.
Nose: Red berries, sweet peat smoke.
Taste: Smoky bacon, earthy peat smoke, strawberries, plums, sea salt.
Finish: Long lasting, sweet smoke.
