<p>Bràulio Amaro is a historic herbal liqueur hailing from the Alpine town of Bormio in Valtellina, crafted according to a recipe that dates back to the 19th century. Its origins trace to botanist Francesco Peloni, who first blended local mountain herbs with alcohol to capture the character of the surrounding Alps in a single bottle.</p><p>Part of what gives this amaro its distinct identity is the inclusion of herbs gathered from Monte Braulio itself, the very mountain that lends the liqueur its name. This deep connection to the Alpine landscape runs through every stage of production.</p><p>After the herbs are combined and left to ferment, the liqueur spends a further two years resting in oak barrels. This extended maturation rounds out the flavours, knitting together robust herbal spice, a gentle bitterness and understated sweetness into a more harmonious whole.
