The Signatory Vintage CAOL ILA 9 Years Old 2016/2025 2nd Fill Chardonnay Butt Finish Cask #4 is an exceptional and rare single cask bottling from the independent bottler Signatory Vintage.
Distilled on 06.06.2016 in the renowned Caol Ila Distillery and bottled on 08.09.2025, this Islay single malt Scotch whisky matured for a total of 9 years.
In Caol Ila 2016/2025, maritime, ashy Islay smoke meets an unusual Chardonnay finish, which counterbalances the strong distillery character with a light, fruity, wine-like and fresh finish. This choice of cask is extremely rare on Islay and underlines the experimental approach of the bottling.
The finish in second fill Chardonnay butt, cask number 4 (part), gives the whisky additional freshness and structure without masking the characteristic smoke. This strictly limited edition was bottled at 58.4% vol. in cask strength, non-chill-filtered and non-colored.
Only 380 bottles were produced from the cask, which further increases its rarity value.
