Part of the distillate matured for a full 15 years in manzanilla sherry casks from Jerez, which underline the classic, maritime house style. This was supplemented with spirit that was first aged for 10 years in refill barrels and then finished for 5 years in Amarone wine barrels from Veneto. This masterful marriage of two exceptional cask journeys, personally selected by Master Blender Julieann Fernandez, creates an Islay single malt with sherry and Amarone cask maturation that combines coastal elegance with Italian warmth.
