Produced in the traditional Aberlour Distillery, which was founded in 1879 in the heart of Scotland's Speyside, this bottling stands for masterful maturation and fine craftsmanship.<br><br>As the name suggests, the whisky is matured in two carefully selected cask types - ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. This combination brings together the best of both worlds: the smooth vanilla sweetness and creaminess of the bourbon casks and the rich fruitiness and spice of the sherry casks. The long maturation of at least 16 years results in a complex, multi-layered whisky with a soft, round texture and noble depth of aroma. With an alcohol content of 40% by volume, Aberlour 16 Years Old is smooth, warm and perfectly balanced.</p>
