<p>The Tement Sauvignon Blanc Ried Zieregg Kapelle Südsteiermark DAC 2022 13% vol. 1.5 l is an outstanding single-vineyard wine of international stature that bears the unmistakable signature of the renowned Tement winery. Ried Zieregg Kapelle is considered one of the most famous single vineyard sites in Südsteiermark and towers as a high plateau above the winery - a place where cool winds meet intense sunlight, producing grapes with exceptional aromatic density and mineral tension.<br><br>The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and are 100% home-grown. The wine is matured in the old tradition with spontaneous fermentation and then 30 months maturation on the fine lees in small, used oak barrels. The soils of this site consist of water-repellent, heavy clay and loam on coral limestone, which gives the wine its characteristic depth, salty minerality and structure. With a cellaring potential of at least 25 years, this Sauvignon Blanc is a long-lasting, complex wine of rare precision. On the palate, the wine is taut, juicy and profound, with a dense texture and dark fruit supported by lively acidity and chalky minerality.
