<p>The Plantations Rums are no longer a mystery. The excellent rums are mainly collected in the Caribbean and also in South America and then brought to France, where they receive their final touch. In Ars in France, the rum is subsequently stored for several months in small discarded oak cognac barrels. This type of aging is called "double aging", this technique was already used in the 18th and 19th centuries.<br><br>Plantation Rum Multi Island XO is made from molasses and consists of blends from Cuba, Fiji, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, Panama, Haiti, Saint Lucia, Reunion Island and Nicaragua.<br>This rum matures for a few years in bourbon barrels, then matures for another few months in ex-cognac barrels of French oak, in the cellars of Château de Bonbonnet/ Cognac.<br><br>The finish is given to this rum for 8 months in Vieux Pineau des Charentes blanc casks.<br>Pineau des Charentes is an aperitif produced in the west of France. Pineau tastes sweet, but with a certain bite of tartaric acid.</p>
