The maturation follows the tried and tested "double ageing" principle, in which the first phase takes place in a tropical climate and the second in a continental climate - a technique that was already used in the 18th and 19th centuries and has now been perfected by Plantation.<br><br>This rum is bottled at a powerful 48.1 % vol. without chill filtration in order to fully preserve the aromatic density and barrel characteristics.
