<p>The Isle of Raasay The Draam Hebridean Single Malt Whisky comes from the young and award-winning Isle of Raasay Distillery on the Hebridean island of the same name off the coast of the Isle of Skye. This legendary single malt was first introduced in 2021 and is based on master distiller Alasdair Day's unique six-cask recipe. With its honey-gold color and subtle nuances of red wine tones, it offers a remarkable depth of flavor that transcends its age.<br><br>Draam is inspired by an older style of Hebridean single malt whisky, but has a lighter, fragrant smokiness that is elegantly balanced by intense dark fruit flavors. It is based on a sophisticated recipe in which two different spirits - peated and unpeated - are matured separately in American Rye whiskey casks, fresh Chinkapin oak casks and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks.&nbsp;</p><p>Bottled at 46.4% vol. in natural color and without chill filtration.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Tasting notes:</strong></p><p>Color: Honey gold with delicate red wine tones.<br><br>Nose: Light smoky notes, fresh fruit, dark berries and a hint of vanilla.<br><br>Taste: Harmonious and round with notes of toffee, red wine fruit, sweet malt and subtle peatiness.<br><br>Finish: Long-lasting, fragrantly smoky, fruity and balanced.<br><br>The Isle of Raasay The Draam Hebridean Single Malt unfolds its full aroma at room temperature. It goes well with mild soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert, grilled salmon or scallops as well as desserts such as apple pie or crème brûlée. It is also suitable as a base for whisky cocktails - for example in an old fashioned, where its light smokiness adds depth, or in a whisky sour, which emphasizes its fruity notes. As part of a whisky tasting, it represents the modern Hebridean style in authentic form.</p>
