<p>Laphroaig is a whisky distillery on the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay and is owned by the Japanese-American Beam Suntory Group. The distillery buildings are listed on the Scottish Heritage List. In the production of Laphroaig, barley malt is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, which can only be found on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich taste.<br><br>This unique 25-year-old Laphroaig is a blend of bourbon casks carefully stored at the Laphroaig Distillery.<br>It is bottled without chill-filtration and at cask strength to preserve the full aromatic diversity of this exquisite whisky.<br><br>One of the most unique malt whiskies.</p><p><strong>Tasting notes:</strong></p><p>Color: Pale gold.<br>Nose: Sweetish, fruity of green apples, rich in vanilla, cinnamon notes, warm pastries, smoked ham.<br>Taste: Complex, tropical fruit, grilled orange peel, peppery nuances.<br>Finish: Long lasting, smoky notes.</p>
