<p>The 2022 Cuvée Impresario from the renowned Kerschbaum winery is an impressive red wine from Central Burgenland that emphasizes powerful elegance and precise craftsmanship. This vintage combines 60% Blaufränkisch, 20% Zweigelt, 15% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon to create a complex, multi-layered composition of international stature.<br><br>The carefully harvested grapes were processed with particular care and fermented on the skins for 24 days to optimally extract the deep color pigments, aromas, and tannin structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matured exclusively in new wooden barrels for 18 months, lending it density, spice, and impressive development potential. The 2022 Impresario embodies the combination of Burgenland tradition and modern stylistics like no other wine from the house.</p><p><strong>Tasting notes:</strong></p><p>In the glass, the wine presents a dark ruby ​​garnet color with an opaque core, violet reflections, and a delicate lightening at the rim. The nose is intense and complex, characterized by nuances of fine wood, black currant, dark chocolate, nougat, and candied orange zest. On the palate, the wine is powerful, concentrated, and elegant, with subtle sweetness, ripe tannins, dark berry fruit, sweet cherry, and salty minerality. The structure is firm yet finely interwoven, with a long finish and excellent aging potential.<br><br>Acidity: 5.6 g/l.<br><br>This cuvée is an excellent accompaniment to braised beef, game dishes, lamb with rosemary, robust sauces, or mature hard cheeses. It also reveals its full potential in festive menus or as a companion to truffle dishes. Due to the depth and youth of the wine, decanting for at least 4 hours is recommended.
