<p>The Torres Salmos Porrera Vi de Vila Priorat 2020 is more than just a wine - it is an expression of landscape, history and a deep connection with its origins. The land is barren, steep slopes are carved into slate, where vines have been rooted for centuries, if not millennia. The "Salmos" - the psalms of the old Carthusian monks, who once sang in gratitude for the harvest - can still be heard today in this extreme landscape of the Priorat. History and nature come together here to produce a wine of rare charm from the high-altitude vineyards of Vila de Porrera.<br><br>The renowned Familia Torres winery, deeply rooted in Spanish viticulture, interprets the terroir of the Priorat region in a modern and respectful way with this wine. The classification as "Vi de Vila" guarantees the exact origin from Porrera - a place that is known for structurally rich, mineral wines. The vines grow on the typical Llicorella slate soil, which retains heat and gives the grapes enormous concentration and expression. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures for 25 months in French and American oak before being sealed with natural cork and bottled.
