Although the majority of the 3.2 million liters of alcohol produced annually is exported to the United States for blends, Tomintoul continues to bring special single cask bottlings to the market.<br><br>Tomintoul 16 Year Old The Gentle Dram is an exquisite single malt Scotch whisky that masterfully combines the gentle and mild signature of the Tomintoul distillery with the opulent notes of a Sauternes wine cask. After extensive maturation in ex-bourbon American oak casks, this whisky was given a final finish in selected Sauternes wine casks, which are prized for their rich, sweet and complex aromas.<br><br>This whisky is limited to 5,094 bottles worldwide.</p>
