Jean-Remy Moët, a descendant of the founder, acquired the former Hautvillers monastery in 1794, where the monk Dom Pérignon developed his pioneering champagne production techniques. This was a decisive step that further consolidated the quality and reputation of Moët &amp; Chandon.<br><br>The association with historical figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte, a close friend of Jean-Remy Moët, helped to popularize the champagne on international campaigns and increased its popularity worldwide. Moët &amp; Chandon always remained based in Épernay and became synonymous with high-quality champagne.<br><br>1987 marked another milestone when Moët Hennessy merged with Louis Vuitton to form the luxury goods group LVMH, now known worldwide for its exclusive products.<br><br>The Moët Imperial BRUT, an icon among champagnes, embodies seductive elegance and vivacity. This exquisitely crafted champagne is composed from a carefully selected blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay grapes. After a careful ageing process that brings out the aromas perfectly, the champagne is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.<br><br>The Marquise de Pompadour once summed up the essence of champagne when she said: "Champagne is the only wine in the world that makes every woman beautiful."&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Tasting notes:</strong></p><p>Clear golden yellow with a green shimmer in the glass. Even bead formation. Subtle aromas of green apples, roasted cashews and vanilla on the nose. Sparkling on the palate, with aromas of white peach, pears and apples. These are joined by citrus fruits and gooseberries.
