<p>Glenfarclas, which translates as "valley of green grass", is one of only three Scottish distilleries that are still family-owned. It is located south of Aberlour at the foot of Benrinne and is in the heart of the Speyside region.<br><br>The distillery was founded in 1836 and, following the death of the original owner in 1865, passed into the ownership of the Grant family, who still run Glenfarclas today. Apart from a brief phase between 1895 and 1900, during which the distillery was temporarily financed by third parties, Glenfarclas continued to develop. Despite crises such as the First World War and Prohibition in the USA, the distillery was able to maintain its independence and continue its operations.<br><br>Glenfarclas The Trinity Vintage Series is the first whisky in a limited series introduced by the prestigious Highland distillery. This 12-year-old single malt matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks and reflects the traditional craftsmanship that characterizes Glenfarclas. Without chill-filtration and free from colorants, the whisky is bottled in its natural, rich color, which emphasizes the rich aromas created by the sherry cask maturation.</p>
