As an independent Highland distillery, it relies on traditional production methods and uses 19th-century equipment to create handcrafted premium single malts. Its diverse portfolio includes whiskies with exceptional cask finishes as well as bottlings made from malt with a peat level of at least 50 ppm.<br><br>The new batch of Ballechin 18 Years Old has been enriched by combining bourbon and sherry casks, adding further complexity to the maturation process. This extended maturation allows for a successful fusion of intense peat smoke and spicy wood notes, defining the character of this Highland single malt. These casks impart a balanced structure to the whisky, harmonizing the smoky, woody, and fruity elements without overemphasizing any single nuance.</p>
