<p>Lochlea Distillery is an independent single malt distillery based on Lochlea Farm in Ayrshire, near Glasgow in the Lowlands. The old farm has been converted into a distillery and bonded warehouse. The distillery opened for business in August 2018.<br>Former Laphroaig Distillery Manager John Campbell runs the family business. The Scottish poet, Robert Burns, lived on the farm from 1777 to 1784 and managed it.<br>The barley for production is grown and harvested in-house. The water is drawn from limestone springs deep below the distillery. This enables complete traceability from the field to the bottle.<br><br>After the Harvest Edition First Crop and the Harvest Edition Second Crop, this single malt is the third and final bottling of the Harvest Editions from Lochlea Distillery. The Third Crop has been matured for a further year and aged in carefully selected bourbon and port casks to develop a sweet, summery flavor profile. Inspired by the annual barley harvest, this edition captures the character of the season and brings Lochlea's signature flavors to full fruition.</p>
