<p>Caol Ila (pronounced "Cull Eela") is Gaelic for "The Sound of Islay", the strait that separates the Hebridean islands of Islay and Jura. Somewhat hidden on the rugged east coast, fine smoky whiskies have been produced there by the islanders since 1846.
