The Demerara distillery, located in Guyana on the tropical north coast of South America, has been processing sugarcane since 1670 and has earned an outstanding reputation over the centuries. The EL DORADO brand, known worldwide as a premium brand for high-quality rum, is distinguished by its artfully crafted blended rums.
These are produced not only from different vintages and batches, but also through the use of various distillation processes, including the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, as well as the Port Mourant double wooden pot stills. The rum matures for 12 years in select oak barrels, giving it its special depth and complexity, making it especially desirable for connoisseurs.
