Richard Hennessy, an officer who emigrated from Ireland, founded "Jas Hennessy &amp; Co", which laid the foundations for the company's development into an internationally recognized cognac producer.<br><br>Hennessy only uses grapes grown in the Cognac region for the production of Cognac. After double distillation in copper stills, the eaux-De-vie is produced, which forms the basis for all the company's Cognac variations.<br><br>The Hennessy V.S.O.P, a blend of more than 60 different eaux-De-vie, is known for its balance and harmony. The designation V.S.O.P (Very Superior Old Pale) indicates the great age and high quality of the cognac.</p>
