<p>For 5 generations already, the Flor de Cana estate has been run by the same family which produces high quality rums. Its history began with the arrival of an Italian, Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa, who detected the potential of the San Cristóbal volcano, the highest and one of the most active in Nicaragua.</p><p>Once the distillery has been built, a new adventure tinged with success and unique flavors awaits the Pellas family, who still own the place. The rums are naturally enriched by the fertile soils and water purified by the volcano.</p><p>Elements that make Flor de Cana 14 year old rum particularly exquisite. You will be able to recognize the fragrant personality of vanilla on a background reminiscent of frangipane. Scents of nuts already set the tone for the rest of the tasting.</p><p>In the mouth, everything is pleasure, indulgence and generosity. A tempting program which is confirmed with aromas of crème caramel, magnified by notes of coconut and a touch of nougat.</p><p>The finish of the Flor de Cana 14 year old rum is of good length, giving the vintage plenty of time to exploit its few fruity flavors enhanced by a few spices and a more bitter accent brought by the liquorice at the end of the palate.</p>
