<p>The SHINOBU distillery, based in Niigata, a Japanese coastal region known for its "three white treasures" of snow, rice and sake, produces pure malt whiskies under the direction of Master Blender Usami Ken.<br><br>These whiskies are first matured in sherry and bourbon casks and then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak, which is prized for its rich aromas of apples, pears, cloves and nutmeg.
