<p>The Berentzen Group in Haselünne in Lower Saxony is launching the Norden Sea Salt Gin under the traditional Frisian brand Doornkaat.&nbsp;</p><p>The newcomer, conceived as a homage to the North Sea coast, now complements the range consisting of the Doornkaat Doppelkorn and the Doornkaat Norden Dry Gin.&nbsp;</p><p>The new dry gin is made from botanicals such as juniper berries, sea buckthorn and rose hips using a process that is not described in detail.&nbsp;</p><p>There is also talk of a pinch of sea salt.&nbsp;</p><p>The bottling is done with an alcohol volume of 40 percent and potentially free of any sugar.<br>&nbsp;</p><p><i>"The Norden Sea Salt Gin is a real specialty on the gin shelf: Selected North Sea botanicals create an extraordinary and intense taste experience. Juniper provides spice, while sea buckthorn and rosehip produce a fruity tartness. The gin is rounded off with a fine pinch of sea salt ," explains Katja Schlarmann, Head of Marketing for branded spirits at the Berentzen Group. “With the Sea Salt Gin, we are driving the premiumization of our broad spirits portfolio and at the same time have created a product that promises to be special.”</i></p>
