The distillery buildings stand out in white and gray against the <strong>green slopes of Ben Nevis</strong>. At 1,345 meters it is the <strong>highest mountain in Great Britain</strong> .<br>Around 300 days a year the summit of the massif is covered in fog and clouds. Rain and snowmelt feed <strong>fresh mountain spring water</strong> - one of the <strong>central ingredients for the expressive Ben Nevis whiskey</strong> since the distillery was founded in 1825. The independent bottler makes <strong>one of the oldest Ben Nevis single malts ever bottled</strong> accessible. <strong>The Ben Nevis 1966/2021</strong> from the Cask Strength Collection matured for a remarkable <strong>55 years. </strong>Signatory founder Andrew Symington selected three <strong>hogsheads</strong> from his stock of over 10,000 casks for ageing.<br>Crisp fermented and comparatively briefly distilled in the spirit still, Ben Nevis produces a <strong>heavy raw brandy</strong>.
