In the mouth you sense notes of figs, dates and raisins as well as caramel, vanilla, orange peel and spicy oak.<br>This premium rum has been aged for a minimum of 8 years in bourbon casks, followed by 5 months in Pedro Ximenes sherry casks and Oloroso sherry casks, which gives a very distinctive full-bodied, soft and thoroughly delicious sipping rum.</p><p>We have done everything we can to minimize the climate footprint with Ron Sostenible. An example is rum</p><p>→ transported across the Atlantic by sailing ship without the use of engine power!</p><p>→ bottled in the EU in bottles made of 96% recycled glass with a cotton label</p><p>→ produced at one of the world’s most sustainable distilleries in the Dominican Republic, where</p><p>→ all organic material and waste water from the fermentation process is piped out onto the sugar cane fields as organic fertilizer for the new sugar cane</p><p>→ all CO2 from the fermentation process is collected and placed in pressure tanks, which are used for soda at the local soda factory</p><p>→ part of the profit goes to charity, such as school operations and further training, so that employees can become skilled.</p>
