<p>The Slyrs whisky distillery was opened in 1999 and is one of the largest single malt whisky producers in Germany.<br>The name of the distillery Slyrs is derived from the Schliersee and a monastery in Bavaria.<br>The barley required comes from the north of Bavaria.<br><br>This special edition of Slyrs is dedicated to FC Bayern Munich, a soccer club in Munich, which was founded back in 1900.<br><br>The malt is aged for three years in American white oak barrels before receiving its finish in former wheat beer barrels.<br>A whiskey that could not be more Bavarian.<br><br>Awards:<br>- Best German Blended Malt, World Whiskies Awards 2022.</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>Color: Light amber.<br>Nose: Fruity of ripe pears, bananas, slightly malty notes.<br>Palate: Mild, pleasant malty aromas, fruity of bananas, honey notes.<br>Finish: Long lasting, spicy, mineral.</p>
