<p>Old Overholt is said to be the oldest continuously operating whiskey brand in America and was founded in 1810, by Abraham Overholt, in West Overton, Pennsylvania.<br>Because of its long history, it is often considered the "cornerstone of American whiskey."<br>Currently, rye whiskey is produced by A. Overholt &amp; Co. in Clermont, Kentucky at the Jim Beam distillery.<br>The three-year aging takes place in American white oak barrels, and since the beginning of 2020, the bottlings are no longer chill-filtered.<br>Old Overholt born in Pennsylvania, made in Kentucky.</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>Color: Light amber.<br>Nose: Light, floral, peach peel, grass, fresh peppermint with hints of tobacco, toffee.<br>Taste: Hot and spicy, white pepper, apricots, sweet cereal flavors.<br>Finish: Long lasting, touch of bitter herbs.</p>
