This cask was selected for its exceptional quality from within the Medine Distillery reserves, on the island of Mauritius, by Master Distiller Jean-Francois Koenig.
This Penny Blue Rum from the single cask is a high-quality rum that was allowed to mature in a first-class whiskey cask.
This gives it an exciting, slightly spicy and aromatic flavor profile.
He also dispenses with the use of dye or chill filtration.
Single bourbon cask #203 was filled in 2009 and produced 132 bottles.
Aroma: Pleasant spice, nuts, caramel with honey and tropical fruits.
Taste: Tonka bean, warm oak note, pineapple and papaya.
Finish: Strong with vanilla and honey. Behind it are almonds with passion fruit, nutmeg and allspice.
