<p>This rum is&nbsp;characterized by&nbsp;the climatic conditions of&nbsp;the Central American state of&nbsp;Nicaragua.<br>It&nbsp;is&nbsp;produced by&nbsp;the Compania Licorera de&nbsp;Nicaragua, which has been based in&nbsp;Managua since 1890.<br>But the distillery is&nbsp;not located in&nbsp;Managua.<br>It&nbsp;is&nbsp;near the sugar factory in&nbsp;Chichigalpa&nbsp;— about 120 kilometers from Managua.<br>This rum takes its name from the volcano of&nbsp;the same name, Mombacho, which is&nbsp;located near the distillery on&nbsp;the shores of&nbsp;Lake Nigaragua.</p><p>This Mombacho matures for 21 years and receives its finish in&nbsp;Sherry Amontillado wooden barrels.</p><p><strong>Distilled:</strong> 1999<br><strong>Bottled:</strong> 2021</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Amber with red accents.<br><strong>Nose:</strong> Strong, caramel, coffee.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Intense, lush, balanced, harmonious, full-bodied, caramel, fruit syrup.<br><strong>Finish:</strong> Long lasting.</p>
