<p>The James Sedwick Distillery launched this single grain in 2009 in honor of Andrew Geddes Bain.<br>Andrew was a well-known road engineer who planned the road between Wellington and Ceres and built it with the help of convicts.<br>The mountain pass therefore also has the name «Bainskloof Pass».</p><p>The whiskey is stored in first fill bourbon barrels before it is decanted into first fill bourbon barrels again after three years for another few months.<br>Due to the special storage and the high-quality raw materials, the result is promising.</p><p><strong>Awards:</strong><br>87.5 points from Jim Murray</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Amber.<br><strong>Nose: </strong>Floral, bananas, honey, hazelnuts, toffee, vanilla.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Vanilla, cocoa butter, spicy notes, oak.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting.</p>
