<p>Doppio Passo is made from the grape variety Primitivo. The grape variety is grown in southeastern Italy in Puglia, Salento.<br><br>The key difference between the Doppio Passo and other Italian red wines is the double fermentation. Part of the Primitivo grapes are picked young and fermented on the skins. The remaining grapes remain on the vines until they reach a high concentration of fruit, aromas as well as sugar. The entire mash is then double fermented. The result is a particularly dense and flavorful red wine from southern Italy.<br><br>Awards:<br>- 88 points from Falstaff</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>Strong ruby garnet in the glass. In the nose hearty fruity of ripe cherries, blackberries, plums, accompanied by cocoa notes. Well structured on the palate, fruity of dark berries, cherries, chocolate, cinnamon notes.
