Spitz was founded in&nbsp;1857 by&nbsp;Salomon Spitz in&nbsp;Linz.<br>In&nbsp;1935 the production site was moved from Linz to&nbsp;Attnang-Puchheim.<br>The company changed its owner after the Second World War and constantly expanded its product range.<br>The distribution of&nbsp;spirits and fruit juices is&nbsp;extended to&nbsp;the whole of&nbsp;Austria.<br>In&nbsp;2007 the company celebrates its 150th anniversary.</p><p>Since the new European Spirits Regulation (EC) 110/2008 came into force in&nbsp;2008, the traditional Spitz Schankrum 22,5% vol. history.<br>Spitz had to&nbsp;say goodbye to&nbsp;the original Spitz Schankrum with a&nbsp;heavy heart.</p><p>This farewell was also the birth of&nbsp;the Spitz Doppelschankrum&nbsp;— the original times two.<br>With 45% vol. the Spitz Doppelschankrum has not only double the alcohol content, but also double the aroma.<br>One litre of&nbsp;Doppelschank Rum 45% vol. thus produces two litres of&nbsp;Schankrum Original.</p><p>Since the new European Spirit Drinks Regulation (EC) 110/2008 came into force in&nbsp;2008, the traditional Spitz Schankrum has been 22.5% vol. history.<br>Spitz had to&nbsp;say goodbye to&nbsp;the original Spitz Schankrum with a&nbsp;heavy heart.</p><p>This farewell was also the birth of&nbsp;the Spitz Doppelschankrum&nbsp;— the original times two.<br>With 45% vol. the Spitz Doppelschankrum not only has double the alcohol content, but also double the aroma.<br>One litre of&nbsp;Doppelschankrum 45% vol. gives two litres of&nbsp;Schankrum Original.</p>
