<p>The Armagnac XO Basquaise Clés des Ducs Martelée is part of a limited series of blended Armagnacs from the house Clés des Ducs.</p><p>The terroir on which this Armagnac is produced is known above all for its brownish sands and extends over the villages of Panjas, Maupas and Estang.</p><p>Because the grape variety used is almost exclusively Ugni Blanc, Clés des Ducs Armagnac XO has very little wood influence, unlike many other classic Armagnacs. Therefore, after distillation, the House of Clés des Ducs prefers aging in barrels that have been lightly to medium toasted.</p><p>This allows the rich Armagnac flavors to develop a unique contrast between the sweet and spicy notes present in Clés des Ducs Armagnacs.</p>
