<p>The eponymous inventor of this bitter is Antoine Amedie Peychaud, a pharmacist from Santo Domingo who settled in New Orleans in 1795. </p><p>Today, Peychaud's Aromatic Cocktail Bitter is produced according to the original recipe by the Buffalo Trace Distillery.</p><p>With its sweet taste and notes of cherries, cloves and nutmeg, this bitter is ideal for cognac cocktails and is an important component of the Sazerac® cocktail.</p>
