<p>In&nbsp;1519, five ships, led by&nbsp;Ferdinand de&nbsp;Magellan, set sail with the aim of&nbsp;exploring the Earth.<br>After 3 years, the ship Victoria returned with 18 men.</p><p>On&nbsp;board they had various barrels and spices.<br>These spices inspired the production of&nbsp;Magellan Gin as&nbsp;we&nbsp;know it&nbsp;today.<br>Magellan himself died on&nbsp;the ship during this voyage.</p><p>Magellan The Original Blue Iris Flavored Gin is&nbsp;made from the following botanicals: Cloves, Iris Root, Flowers, Juniper Berries, Cinnamon, Cassis, Orange Peel, Coriander, Liquorice, Cardamon, Nutmeg and Grains of&nbsp;Paradise.</p><p>A&nbsp;quadruple distillation completes the gin&nbsp;— it&nbsp;matures in&nbsp;small barrels.<br>It&nbsp;gets its blue colour from a&nbsp;secret herbal ingredient.</p><p><strong>Awards:</strong><br>Gold medal in&nbsp;2008 from Gin Masters London.</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Clear.<br><strong>Nose: </strong>Fruity, intense, juniper, citrus aromas.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Refreshing, soft, balanced, fruity, citrus, juniper berries.<br><strong>Finish:</strong> Long lasting, full-bodied, fruity.</p><p>It&nbsp;is&nbsp;often drunk «on&nbsp;the rocks», as&nbsp;a&nbsp;martini or&nbsp;gin and tonic.</p>
