<p>The Mexican spirit known as "Charanda" is created in the west-central Mexican state of Michoacán and is protected by a "Denominacion de Origen" (D.O.).<br>For over 111 years, the Pacheco family has been making superior Charanda at Casa Tarasco in the Mexican state of Michoacán, in the town of Uruapan.<br><br>For this Charanda, sugar cane cultivated at elevations greater than 1,270 metres above sea level is used.<br>Traditional methods are used to produce Sol Terasco: it is first distilled in a copper still and then aged in aged bourbon and sherry barrels for a minimum of ten years, without the addition of sugar.</p>
