Tobermory 20 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish 46,3% Vol. 0,7l

The Tobermory 20-year-old is a successful part of a 6-part series of limited bottlings. Each of which was bottled with a different maturation period and some other types of casks in this series. 

The Tobermory 20 year old was initially stored in ex-bourbon casks, but then received a finish in sherry casks.

Due to the long maturation, it shows a beautiful amber color and a very voluminous, aromatic overall picture. This 20-year-old bottling is done on the Isle of Mull in Scotlandresident whiskey distillery to chill filtration and the addition of coloring. 

In order to perfectly stage the tasty aromas, the distillery has probably decided to bottle the Tobermory 20 years with a strong 46.3% vol.

NOSE: Christmas cookies with a touch of nutmeg and vanilla. Among them is a fine scent of dried fruit that harmonizes beautifully with raisin aromas.

TASTE: Fruity compote with oak and an orange covered with fine caramel. Subtle vanilla aromas with dark chocolate and gingerbread round off the sophisticated taste profile.

FINISH: In the aftertaste, it once again impressively shows what great whiskey is in the glass. A slightly spicy note with beautiful vanilla extracts elegantly fades away with subtle citrus fruit.
