<p>Founded in 1798, Tobermory Distillery is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and is located in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Since its foundation, it has experienced turbulent times with many changes of ownership and production stoppages. In 1993, Burn Stewart Distillers took over the distillery, which was sold to the South African Distill Group in 2013. In March 2017, production was halted again to carry out restructuring work. Despite these challenges, Tobermory remains an important part of the Scotch whisky tradition.<br><br>This award-winning whisky was initially matured for 16 years in ex-bourbon casks before being finished for two years in the finest sherry casks, giving the whisky deliciously sweet and fruity notes. Like all whiskies produced at the Tobermory Distillery, this one is not chill-filtered and has a natural color.<br><br>This production method preserves the authentic aromas and gives the whisky its unique character, which delights both connoisseurs and gourmets alike. The long maturation and special finish give the whisky its complex taste structure and impressive depth.</p>
