<p>Long ago, rye was used to make whisky in the USA because barley was not adapted to the climate there.<br>Australia also has a dry climate where the same conditions prevail.<br>Therefore, the Australians decided to make the whisky with 100% Australian rye.</p><p>The Gospel Straight Rye Whiskey is distilled twice.<br>The maturation takes place for at least 3 years in burnt out barrels of American white oak and then in Australian wine barrels.</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>saffron.<br><strong>Nose:</strong> Spicy, intense, notes of cereals, oak, vanilla.<br><strong>Taste:</strong> Rich, complex, spicy, notes of red fruits, caramel, cloves, raisins.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting, soft, notes of vanilla, caramel, oak.</p>
