There are rumours that the ship's sinking was not a coincidence.</p><p>According to legend, the captain and his crew stole the entire cargo and made their home in the Florida region of Palm Beach, where coconut trees were planted in order to generate income and survive.<br><br>Four distinct rums from different Caribbean islands are combined to create Providencia.<br><br>The company that makes Providencia Rum, «Mayfair», is renowned for producing opulent vodkas and gins.</p>
